2011 Nelson - Golden Bay Floods

Released 21 Dec 2011

Overview

While most farmers will be getting on with things following last week's heavy rainfall, we wish to find out if farmers and their families need a hand. Unlike 2010, damage to farm infrastructure has been mercifully lighter, however, some farm houses may have suffered from water inundation.

To find out if help is needed, we would like you to ring into Federated Farmers on 0800 327 646 (0800 FARMING). The 0800 team will take a note of your property and what needs you have. From there we will be in a better position to coordinate a response, if one is in fact needed.
