Carrying out business during COVID-19 Alert Level 4

18 August 2021

As at 11:59pm on 17 August 2021, all of New Zealand moved into COVID-19 Alert Level 4 for a period of three days, with the Auckland and Coromandel regions staying at Alert Level 4 for at least seven days. However, with confirmed Delta strain COVID-19 cases in the community, Federated Farmers is anticipating Alert Level 4 to be extended beyond this initial period.

Federated Farmers have submitted a list of workers deemed essential for the primary industry to continue operations which ensure animal welfare and food production. We have received confirmation from the Ministry of Primary Industries that this is accepted, though we remind all that this is NOT business as usual. Therefore, specific COVID-19 Alert Level 4 guidelines should be strictly observed, with mask wearing encouraged.

We are in constant contact with the Government and officials and will update you with any further information as it comes to hand. Please look out for emails, website and social media updates.

For information on what your obligations are as a business operating at Alert Level 4, please consult Government guidelines for “Keeping employees and customers safe” HERE

If you are required to travel for work we have developed an Essential Worker Travel Document HERE for this purpose.

Keep safe everyone.
