Tickets on sale now for 2020 Ballance Farm Environment Awards

Tickets are now on sale for events around the country that celebrate some of Aotearoa’s amazing farmers and growers, plus announce winners of the 2020 Ballance Farm Environment Awards (BFEA).

Run by the New Zealand Farm Environment Trust, the annual Awards champion sustainable farming and growing and are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate, share ideas and network with like-minded people. Get your ticket by clicking here.

Thanks to the support of the Trust’s partners, a range of awards are given out in each of the participating regions, including one Regional Supreme Winner.

“The events celebrate everyone who entered – not just those who are eligible for awards – because all are worthy of being recognised for the great work being done on their farms and orchards,” says New Zealand Farm Environment Trust General Manager James Ryan.

Every year, farmers and growers from around Aotearoa are invited to participate in the awards programme. It’s a stimulating, informative and enjoyable opportunity to benchmark against other food and fibre producers in the region.

All entrants go through a judging process that considers the entire environment that farms operate within, particularly sustainable profitability, environmental awareness, good business practices, and social and community responsibility.
