Submission on Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) (Improving Mental Health Outcomes) Amendment Bill
The Bill introduces a requirement that the Minister of Health produce a Mental Health Strategy under the Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act. We have outlined, below, our support of this Bill, along with a recommendation that geographical considerations form a requirement of the Mental Health Strategy’s preparation, so to ensure that rural communities’ outcomes are considered distinctly from that of urban populations.
