Submission on Whangarei Annual Plan 2023-2024
Federated Farmers have submitted on Whangarei District Council’s Annual Plan 2023/2024.
Federated Farmers submitted in preference of a conservative rate increase that was closer to the rate of inflation and which allocated the first 2.5% of the increase to fund roading.
Federated Farmers encouraged the Council to increase the Uniform Annual General Charge to improve the relative contribution within the rural sector the concern being that forestry land is valued less than other land uses.

Whangarei District Council is expected to approve the Annual Budget in late June 2023.
