Leadership Courses
Federated Farmers leadership programme offers two levels of leadership training for members. The programme is important to the Federation’s succession planning. The two levels of training are:
- Getting Your Feet Wet with Federated Farmers (Level One) - members are introduced to the Federation’s structure and resources. Through presentations by industry experts, politicians and organisations with links to agriculture, they learn about agricultural politics, working with procedures and develop effective lobbying skills.
- Advanced Leadership Skills (Level Two) - For those stepping up to focus on public speaking, managing meetings, dealing with media and practical aspects of agricultural leadership in provinces.
Both courses are held in Wellington and run over a two-day period. The programme is highly interactive, delivering information using practical methods and workshops to suit hands-on types. The two courses successfully promote both leadership and team building. Download registration in pdf.
