Federated Farmers congratulates the Waipa District Council on their consultation process for the Waipa District Plan review.
Letters to affected land owners regarding special features or overlays that have been mapped on their property is a great example of proactive and meaningful consultation. Consultation means that any problems can be ironed out in the early stages before the Schedule 1 process begins.
Federated Farmers encourages the Council to keep up the good work ensuring that land owners are made aware of the Planning Maps zones and policy areas, and what rules will apply to these.
