Introduction

Golden Bay province focuses on local issues where it thinks it can be of most benefit to its members, and it has formed a good relationship with the local council. It covers a very diverse area with a wide range of interests. Tourism is high on the agenda and brings its share of problems for farmers.

Golden Bay runs a board system rather than a committee, which helps to spread the load. It is always looking for more members to add to the board and so increase the knowledge available to inform and help members.

Are held as required, they are usually mid-morning at the Rural Service Centre in Takaka.
