Membership Recruitment Contractors
The purpose of the role is to recruit new members for the Federation. Ideally recruiters will be members of Federated Farmers.
Membership Recruitment Contractors will:
- Proactively canvass for new membership.
- Follow up on referrals that require a personal contact.
- Promote membership benefits.
- Keep up to date with farming issues relevant to their territory including understanding the Federation's position on these issues.
- Attend Federation training sessions on member benefits and sales skills.
- Keep the Federation advised of information gathered while on the road.
- Adhere to Federation reporting systems.
- Liaise with local elected office holders with respect to local opportunities, issues and leads.
- Provide own tools of trade including car and stationery.
Commission Payments
- Commission will be paid on a percentage of which ever membership rate a new member is sign up on.
- A further lesser commission amount will be paid the following year upon receipt of membership renewal payment.
The Federation will provide:
- Training - help you to understand the work of the Federation.
- Business cards.
- A Federated Farmers branded merino vest.
- Marketing material - Flyers that list why a potential member should join up, Update magazines, provincial newsletters, industry group newsletters.
- Give-aways like hats and beanies.
- Membership lists in your area - so you know who is already a member.
