Representing New Zealand's High Country Farmers

Lake Heron, High Country

Federated Farmers High Country is an industry group within the Federation's structure.

Issues relevant to the high country are many and varied. The guidance of the nine-person management committee extends beyond general policy and advocacy, as well as highlighting the high country perspective in these roles.

Federated Farmers High Country represents the interests of New Zealand's high country farmers through the High Country industry group council.

The industry group has a chairperson, an executive committee, provincial representatives, an industry group manager and a policy advisor. To see who represents the High Country industry group, please click the link below.

Wilding Conifer Management Group - Many landowners are faced with control problems, and to most private farmers, this is a new management issue. Consequently, fundamental questions relating to spread risk/prevention and operational control strategies, and post-control management have still to be answered satisfactorily.
