Invitation to Support the High Country
Members of Federated Farmers who have indicated that they have a special interest in issues relating to the South Island High Country are eligible to become members.
They can apply to the High Country Industry Manager, PO Box 665, Timaru, and pay an annual contribution (currently $150 + GST) to the High Country Support Fund. Note that this subscription is in addition to, not instead of, the subscription payable to Federated Farmers of New Zealand.
The voluntary levy helps the High Country Committee members in advocating on behalf of members on High Country issues. This can include travel and accommodation costs to meet with government ministers and officials, or costs associated with hosting these people on visits to the high country as indicated above.
