Federated Farmers is committed to growing new agricultural leaders. We run several two-day courses aimed at supporting and encouraging farmers to become more active in their communities, and have the confidence to step up and speak out.

Beef + Lamb New Zealand provide multiple learning and development opporuntities; including support through agricultural related studies at Lincoln and Massey; Leadership development to encourage and support the future leaders of the sheep and beef sector; and on-farm training, developing industry specific skills.

PrimaryITO

The Primary ITO is a brand new industry training organisation facilitating industry training in the agriculture, horticulture, equine, water and sports turf sectors. Resulting from a merger between AgITO and Horticulture ITO, the Primary ITO is also responsible for Water Industry Training, Equine Industry Training and NZ Sports Turf Training. The Primary ITO aims to develop people with a transferable skillset who are capable of growing the profitability, productivity and sustainability of the industry. FarmSafe was founded by Federated Farmers and ACC to reducing agricultural and horticultural accidents by way of quality training, assessment and services. FarmSafe combine practical tuition from qualified facilitators, and interactive sessions to draw on participant experience from quad bikes to farm machinery to agricultural chemicals and even tree maintenance.
