Wool levey questionnaire

Released 03 Sep 2009

The Meat & Wool New Zealand levy proposal for wool was not acceptable to the majority of farmers who voted in the recent Commodity Levies Act referendum. The current situation is that there will be no industry-good funding for wool related activities - such as market development, R&D and training - from April 2010 until at least the expiry of the new levy order in 2016.

Federated Farmers urgently needs your feedback as to whether or not this situation is acceptable to you as a wool grower, if not, what do you wish should now happen?

Comments need to be submitted to David Burt by 9 September 2009.
