Animal Welfare

Good animal welfare is good for business, there's no two ways about it. In order for New Zealand to remain global leaders in animal welfare practices, regulation and policy is constantly evolving to keep pace with modern farming systems, science, technology, our environment and biosecurity.  Our work in this space is strong advocacy to ensure that everyone knows their obligations regarding the treatment and welfare of animals from beginning to end of the supply chain and that requirements are workable, sustainable and science-based. We promote partnerships with the National Animal Welfare Advisory Committee, National Animal Welfare Emergency Management Committee and World Animal Protection NZ.
