Mycoplasma bovis community meetings - Bay of Plenty

We have two Mycoplasma bovis community meetings in the Bay of Plenty next Wednesday, 12 February to provide rural communities information about the following:

The current situation in terms of number of infected herds but within the region and nationally

A background on the eradication programme
-
Recent changes to the programme and future initiatives;

An explanation of the disease and how it is transmitted;
-
How M. bovis is identified and the process involved in becoming disease free
Both programme managers and disease experts will be in attendance and there will be the opportunity for a question and answer session at the conclusion of the formal presentations.
