Reminder: Display QR Code Posters on your properties ASAP

August 19, 2020

We had something on this in last week’s Friday Flash, so this is just a reminder to those who may have missed that advice.

Under Alert Levels 2 and 3, all businesses and services are required by noon today (August 19) to display official NZ COVID Tracer QR code posters wherever customers or visitors enter the premises. This requirement applies to farms.

Further information from the Ministry of Health and how to apply for QR Codes can be obtained from here

We strongly encourage you all to get Posters up ASAP For those with internet access it is a quick and easy process. If you don’t have internet access or skills or you can’t print, then someone (you trust) can do it for you but you will need to supply your:
  • date of birth,
  • driver licence number and version,
  • your physical address (that works on a look up process), and, preferably,
  • your Business Industry Classification Code (look here) and your NZ Business Number (look here).

Alternatively, you may be able to do it at your local library.

Once you have obtained your poster, print out multiple copies. Colour is preferred but B&W works. Display the Posters at locations staff or visitors access your farm – probably best where they get out of their vehicle (cowshed/woolshed/loading ramp/house etc). The poster will need to be protected from weather, so laminate the poster if you can or put it in a clear plastic sleeve or folder.

As a minimum, please record all visitors to your farm until you are able to get a QR Code in place.
