Donations of feed needed for TB/Drought affected farmers

To Members of the Manawatu-Rangitikei Province
We have had a request from the Hawkes Bay Rural Support Trust for donated feed and donations to cover feed transport for farmers in the Hawke's Bay who are under movement restrictions due to TB and struggling under the prolonged drought conditions. They are unable to move or sell stock under these restrictions, and unlike when under M.bovis restrictions, there is no support available to these farmers for feed for these animals.
Ideally they would look at destocking but they have a minimum of 6 months before they can do this due to the restrictions, and animals would have very few buyers due to their TB status.
This is a position that these farmers have very little control over and a position as farmers we never would want to be in ourselves. We want to show our support as a province by getting as much feed to them as possible.
