A time to reflect - May 2021

1 June 2021

Along with drying off, undertaking pasture renewal and assessing feed budgets autumn is also Annual General Meeting time. AGMs provide a useful opportunity to take stock and reflect on the previous year’s work and consider priorities for the year ahead.

The Rotorua/Taupo Province held its AGM on 27 May, with interesting speakers and great food, it made for a very enjoyable night.

As a Regional Policy Advisor I am part of a team that works alongside your elected representatives to advocate to the Bay of Plenty and Waikato Regional Councils, and the Rotorua Lakes and Taupo District Councils on behalf of our members across this province. Over the past year we have worked hard to engage proactively and constructively with these councils to ensure relevant rural issues are known to them.

We have submitted on a number of regional and district plans which are summarized in the Regional Policy Report May 2021 accessed via this link

Please contact Hilary Walker at [email protected] or Laura Jeffries at [email protected] or 0800 327 646 if you wish to discuss any of these matters in more detail.
