Be Safe out there

July has been a very long month and trying conditions continue as we have been dealt more rough weather this week – Most of the South Island has experienced high winds and heavy rain and in some areas snow and freezing conditions. With numerous road closures, flooding, slips, icy conditions, damage to sheds and other infrastructure all impacting on how we operate, we need to make sure we keep our families and employees safe.

We don’t need to tell you the ground is absolutely sodden. What we can tell you is if you or someone you know is having a hard time, whether it be with moving stock, needing a generator to milk or emergency feed, give us a shout and we’ll help get you back on track. If you get a chance, touch base with your neighbours to see that they’re ok.
Remember your safety comes first, please be careful in these awful conditions. We know you will be doing all you can to keep your animals sheltered and protected from the elements, just remember to be able to do this you need to look after yourself first.

Feed Availability

Whilst we haven’t seen a demand for feed prior to the recent weather this could change. The National Feed Coordination service is operating connecting willing buyers with willing sellers, this includes grazing opportunities. Click here
