Federated Farmers Stratford Annual Plan Submission 2017
Farmers in Stratford District can expect a lower than average rates increase this year (only 0.74%, while the average for other residents will be 3.95%). The difference is mostly due to increased costs of wastewater systems, which farmers are not connected to and therefore don’t pay for. Stratford District Council also plans to spend more on the new regional landfill and they’re putting money aside (via targeted rates) for future spending on wastewater infrastructure and roading.
