Agriculture does not currently have surrender obligations under the NZ ETS, and likely will not unless the Climate Change Response (Emissions Trading Reform) Amendment Bill 2019 passes unaltered and establishes 2025 as a possible fallback option for the sector’s inclusion in the NZ ETS.
