Rather than providing immediate solutions for the now, the options in this toolkit consider how to get feed in front of your animals while also looking at the management to minimise the impact this could have down the track. The toolkit looks at prioritising body condition/liveweight targets and feed management over making up lost production; and options to turn bare paddocks into feed to keep your animals happy and the soil where it should be.
This toolkit is a guide to be used with your experts. Make sure you are working closely with your vet, agronomist, industry body, stock agent, bank and accountant and having conversations early to make the most of the opportunities while they are still available to you.
