Federated Farmers submission on Far North District Councils Solid Waste bylaw

Federated Farmers submitted to the Far North District council on their solid waste Bylaw. In short, we sought for the inclusion of permitted pathways for livestock, pets and permitted farm waste to be exempt from the bylaw. We also sought changes on their events section regarding small not for profit events such as rural support trust being exempt from the requirement to submit a waste minimisation and management plan for their events. Many of these events produce little to no waste and it is an unnecessary burden on the community.
