Central Hawke's Bay District Council Draft Long Term District Plan 2021-31

Federated Farmers is deeply disappointed at the rates rises proposed in this LTP.
 
We are frustrated that core infrastructure has been allowed to degrade so much, and that the district has a legacy of chronic underinvestment that needs to be addressed. Despite decades of perfectly adequate rates income, basic services have been underfunded. 

The Message from the Mayor prefers to blame artificially low rates increases, but really the blame should lie on Governance constantly prioritising spending on non-core functions over basic services.
