Submission to the Waikato District Council on the Dog Control Bylaw and Policy proposal 2022

Federated Farmers has submitted on the Waikato District Councils proposed Dog Control Bylaw and Policy proposal 2022.

Rural dogs have the least need for council’s dog services and are less likely to create additional work for councils. Federated Farmers also suggest that by creating additional barriers and compliance for dog owners this may be incentivising people to not register their dogs.
Any further questions, please contact Shaun Hazelton (Policy advisor for Waikato District).
