Representing Ruapehu farmers
Federated Farmers Ruapehu represents local farmers' views at one district council and two regional councils. The main issue for our province currently is processing the recent Environment Court decision on the Horizon's Regional Policy Statement and Regional Plan, otherwise known as the 'One Plan'. Overall the province is also concerned about the lack of profitability for wool, lamb and beef farming.
